Registered, Purebred Gypsy Cob Gelding – Rising 4yrs -Windsong Copperhead Rd. This is the Cob you’ve been waiting for – class, kindness & as quiet as a church-mouse. Born 02/01/2022, this handsome young gelding has been with me since he was just 8 months old. He is by the well-known Sire Koru Hairy Harry out of Smith’s Bonny Blue, an imported mare – giving him the class, substance and presence you’d expect from his breeding.
Currently home-measuring just under 14.2hh 9approx)and still bum high, he is very much filling out and maturing. Like all true Gypsy Cobs he is an easy keeper, and he has the temperament to match – quiet, kind and utterly unflappable. He has been to a handful of shows as a youngster, bringing home his fair share of ribbons, and has also been out to clinics and outings where he took everything in his stride.
There really is nothing you cannot do with this boy. Clip him all over, throw rugs on in the paddock, lead him by his mane or rug – he takes it all without fuss. In fact, he once locked himself in the tack room for six hours (I thought he had been stolen!) and was simply found hanging out quietly amongst the gear, waiting for someone to come home. He is the definition of a steady, sensible youngster.
He has recently had his winter coat clipped off (a home job, but he stood like a pro). He has a small scar on the side of his head from a minor operation about 18 months ago – it’s only visible when clipped, and it causes no issues whatsoever.
With his presence, temperament and breeding, he is a true show prospect both in-hand and under saddle – and he is now ready to be started and begin his next chapter.
